This Privacy Policy describes how PageWise ("we", "our", or "the App") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo (if provided). Apple Sign-In users may choose to hide their email.

Reading Data: We collect information you provide about your reading activity, including:

• Books you add to your library (title, author, page count)
• Reading sessions (pages read, duration, dates)
• Ratings, reviews, and reading status
• Reading goals and preferences

Usage Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as screen views, feature usage, and app performance metrics. This data does not personally identify you.

Crash Reports: We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostic data to improve app stability. This may include device model, OS version, and crash stack traces.

Subscription Information: If you subscribe to PageWise Premium, your subscription status is stored in our database to provide access to premium features. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment details, credit card information, or Apple ID password.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the reading tracking service
• To sync your reading data across devices
• To calculate reading statistics and streaks
• To send reading reminders (if enabled by you)
• To improve app performance and fix bugs

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase (Firestore) servers located in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the App, you consent to this transfer. We use Firebase Authentication to protect your account. All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Firebase Authentication: Account management (Google LLC)
• Cloud Firestore: Data storage (Google LLC)
• Firebase Analytics: Anonymous usage analytics (Google LLC)
• Firebase Crashlytics: Crash reporting (Google LLC)
• Google Books API: Book search and metadata (Google LLC)
• Sign in with Apple: Authentication (Apple Inc.)

Each service is governed by its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with the third-party services listed above as necessary to provide the App's functionality.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen. When you delete your account, all your personal data, reading history, and preferences are permanently removed from our servers.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Disable analytics collection (via device settings)
• Disable notifications at any time

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
